Acoustic Music and Photography Packages for Your Big Moment

About Marriage Proposals by Mike

Holiday Proposal in front of the Love Statue - Awaiting the happy couple. 21 degrees. Brrr!

Marriage Proposals by Mike began when a client found me on a gig website in 2012.  He was coming to New York City from upstate Buffalo to propose to his girlfriend in Rockefeller Plaza during the holidays.  They were a very nice couple.  He had a photographer there who narrowly missed the big moment due to the throngs of people and the prescribed footpath set forth by Rockefeller Center security.  An idea was hatched to offer a bundled package of acoustic music and photography as well as location consulting and reconnaissance for my clients.  After all it's my city and it's been my home for 25 + years.

My goal is to make an already incredible moment that much more special.  I play acoustic guitar and harmonica (when the song calls for it).  Typically my clients request 1 or 2 songs that they want me to play while they're popping the question.  You can select up to 3 songs

Most clients have a song in mind.  However I can help pick the song if you're feeling stuck.  Songs that clients have requested in the past or in general are thought to be great songs for these special occasions include:

Sometimes a particular song may feature additional instrumentation.  As such mandolin, banjo & ukulele accompaniment are available upon request.  Interested in having a full band serenade you and your girl/guy we can do that.

As a career New Yorker I've come to know where the special locations are and am happy to consult on locations.  Central Park is an obvious choice.  But there are many other phenomenal locations that would be ideal.  I can assist in crafting a Plan B should weather become a factor.  Please let me know how I can help.

Upon request I can also station a photographer and/or videographer at a strategic location to capture the surrounding scenery, capture you and your significant other as you stroll toward the agreed upon site and of course capture the magic as you get on bended knee to ask the all important question.
